* Killing invading microbes
* To fight disease causing germs
* Help in the process of tissue repair
2. Acquired Immunity/ Adaptive
* Also called as adaptive immunity
* The resistance acquired by an individual during life time.
* Acquired immunity is immunity one developes over lifetime,it can come from vaccine.
